Lead JavaScript Engineer

We are looking for an experienced JavaScript Engineer to relocate to Sweden. Our client is one of Europe’s largest banks and is providing payment solutions for 90 million consumers across more than 200,000 merchants in 17 countries (online financial services such as payment solutions for online storefronts, direct payments, post purchase payments and more). The company has more than 2500 employees, most of them working at the headquarters in Stockholm.

What you’ll do:
  • Be a hands-on technical leader for the members of your own team and other engineers around you
  • Envision, drive and implement ambitious software projects that disrupt the financial industry
  • Make architectural decisions affecting multiple teams in order to create highly available products used by millions of customers
  • Question and improve the engineering practices around you to increase the development speed and quality of the products that we build
  • Be the thought leader in engineering - inspire more junior engineers, build communities of practice, shape the engineering culture
  • Create impact with your knowledge not only via direct contributions, but also through speaking at events and holding workshops, both internal and external.


You should have:  
  • Strong coding ability in Javascript.
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong coding ability in Javascript and 10+ years of experience
  • Experience with API and product development
  • Passion for writing clean and testable code
  • Experience with Agile/XP practices (Pairing, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery).
